Day Three!

Posted by TashaG14 in Untagged

TashaG14

I woke up late. =S

Managed to snag enough time to make lunch before rushing out to the bus, So I didn't have to buy any yucky college food. Not like I could have anyway, I'm skint! >_<

I spent the morning in the TV room, watching TV with me gorgeous boyfriend. Seein how we both got up late, we were both kinda groggy and our friends were in lessons anyway, so we figured we'd pass the time with Deal or No Deal, Will and Grace, and Wife Swap! xD Annoying social problem that I want to rant about but won't on here bugged me again and I snapped at the person causing all the drama. It's my life and I said we'd catch up with them in ten mins, I want to see the frigging end of the show! ¬_¬

But yeah xD We went down to one of the gardens to have lunch (I'd already eaten mine but hey) And when Drama-Causer realised we weren't paying attention to her moping, she went back to her room to do some work. Me and my best buddy Steph decided to make a jumping course, that we'd jump. Without the horses. We ran into the trees and picked out some branches, and made 7 jumps of various heights and widths. We charted our course and were off!!
It was really good fun, I had forgotten how much I loved jumping, and before long we were both out of breath and I had shed four out of five layers, and was running around with just a sleeveless top, but was hot. it was about 7degreesC today xD

So I felt pretty active about that, and didn't have much sweet stuff at all, relative to what I usually have!

I went on the wii when I got home, but was still knackered from jumping so just did the body test. I'm still underweight xD

No update tomorrow, there's a party at college and I'm going to my boyfriends after, so I should think... I'll exercise pretty well tomorrow, because we want to jump again, and walk into town, and lah dee dah. So yeah. All's going well so far!

Day 43.....1lb away from my first stone!!!

Posted by mummygina77 in Untagged

Ive not been online for a few weeks, as Ive had problems with internet, busy with other things etc, but Im currently on day 43. I just did my usual 1hr wii fit routine. I like to do some free step, boxing super advanced, cycling, jogging etc.I had to take about 2 weeks out though as I sprained my ankle, so eventhough i'm on day 43 technically, i'm actually on something like day 33!

Im really enjoying the wii fit, and Im currently one lb away from my first stone (or 14lb, or 7kgs). Im so pleased as my next mini goal was to get my BMI out of the 25's (currently about 25.14), and to get out of the 11st mark, so with the next couple of lbs I should achieve both!!

I'm a bit of a gadget freak, and Ive wanted a blackberry for ages, so as my incentive, Ive promised myself that if I lose approximately another stone by June, I can treat myself. My goal is to lose 2 stones in total, so being about half way there, it looks like the Blackberry may be a reality.....even more reason to lose weight lol!!

Wii Day 76 - TBL Workout

Day 76

With all the motivation I could gather today, I did a 30 minute challenging workout on the biggest loser program.  It seemed to go well, although they said I burned 47 calories, my heart rate monitor said  about 211...  My average heart rate was 135....  I worked out 37 minutes.  Not bad...

Other than that, I've been slack with counting weight watchers points.  I haven't really counted points, but I've been keeping up with watching my portions.
I'm on call tonight, so let's hope that it's an easier call....  if not, that's alright too.  :)

Keep your chins up, everyone!

March 8, started new routines...ARMS

It felt good to take a rest for awhile.  Nice to get things taken care of and get back to working out.  Worked out for 26 minutes and burned 122 calories.  Some things I noticed is that I definitely worked out less than usual.  Also it's Monday so I'm coming off my work week where I'm tired.  I decided to make Monday's my arms days for working out.  I definitely need to tone them up and it seemed like a good way to exercise and not stress myself overly.  Several of the exercises are definitely unilateral as my right arm got all the workout while lefty didn't really get any workout.  Although by the end of the workout my right arm was definitely tired.  Also the calories burned was alot less.  That will take some getting used to because I'm used to high amounts of calories burned.  I must remember again and again that the focus now isn't losing weight, it's gaining muscle and toning up.

I think part of it is that I'm not too sure what exercises would really be great just for arms only since I definitely didn't feel like running.  EA:SA is easier to tell but there aren't many to work on via WFP.  I'd consider it a productive day, and even though lefty didn't get a huge workout I have time to work at it and figure out what will work for me.  I didn't join this website knowing anything about what I wanted, it took time.  Learning what works for me will take time as well.

Notables:
1. Increasing protein.  The exercise guy I consult with at work takes in about 150 grams of protein per day.  I may aim around there, not sure yet but I'm increasing my protein intake somehow.
2. I've been drinking a ton of V8 Fusion lately.  I go through a bottle every 4-5 days or so.  Some are ok, I have found one I really hate though.  It is nice getting alot of veggies and fruit servings per glass though so that's nice.  I'm still getting 3 of fruit per day also which is great.
3. Thanks to CLM's encouragement I decided to join Club Nintendo and register some products to get that tote bag just like hers.
4. I'm finally going to start using EA:MW starting Monday.  I can't wait anymore to see what exercises it has, plus I think it'll have more bilateral exercises for my arms and legs and alot more that focus on the abdominals.

I'm sure there's more I want to say but I can't think of it.  It's good to be back.

Personal challenge day 10 review

Whoohoo, I'm a third of the way through this challenge! I don't know what comes next after this (and I'm trying not to think about it, as to no get ahead of myself), but I know that when it's past I'll feel like Queen of the World.

The depression fog in my head is starting to clear a little. I went out for Mexican food again today, but this time I partook. I thought I was being good getting a vegetarian burrito, but it turned out to be full of cheese and sour cream and it totaled over 800 calories. Good thing I let up on my calorie limit or else the rest of the day would have been miserably hungry.

I went through a storage box of old movies and found all my old workout videos a couple days ago. I think I'll keep them alongside  my wii for days when I want to mix it up a little. A little TaeBo would be a fun blast from the past. When I was 19 my best friend and I had a tradition of "TaeBo Tuesdays".

I'm exhausted, so this one will be short.

I had some pretty sore quads after my run on Saturday, so I thought I'd do a short jog over to play badminton and that would be my exercise for the day. Turns out badminton was full, so I ended up going for a slightly longer run. Only 2.82km in total @25mins, 151 cals.  I was too pissy about not being able to play badminton that I just tried to chill out for the rest of the day.

No "real" exercise today (Monday), aside from lugging around and holding up a very heavy camera and lens tonight for some time for work. I'm not counting that, though.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Day 14

So, I have been REALLY careful with what I have been eating. I have been following the food pyramid and trying to burn more calories than I have eaten. I enjoy organizing so figuring out my workout is the highlight of my day.  The only problem is, I'm not losing weight as fast as I thought I would be. I can definitely tell that I am getting leaner. The weight is just not coming off. What can I do? On the flip side, I ran a mile and a half today without needing to stop, a first in a long time. I have fallen in love with my Wii, it's official. Look out Tony!

Day two!

Posted by TashaG14 in Untagged

TashaG14

So, I figured I'd wake up early this morning and do a half hour routine thingy.

I don't DO early just yet, apparently.

But I got up quarter of an hour earlier than usual, didn't feel like going on the Wii fit (who does at quarter to 7AM??) so had me some breakfast.

With the cocopops and chocolate milk flowing through my system, I felt like doing at least SOMETHING on there. So I go on, did the body test (I've gained like half a pound =/) and Did some yoga, stretching out in preparation for the day (Y)

Then  I got all my stuff together, walked to the bus, took the bus to town, got on another bus to go to collage (I could walk instead of the first bus, but it's about two miles. I'm not up for that at that time of the morning just yet thank you xD) and met my boyfriend. We walked from college into the town, and I bought some sugary stuff because I had no snakage, just sandwiches.

I'll admit I had a lot of treats today that I shouldn't have indulged in, but it's early days and the social predicament that's going on right now is extremely stressful =/

I'm definately hoping to be a little healthier tomorrow, Do some more walking, and less eating xD  I think that writing about what I have and haven't done is a good phsycological boost, after realising what I've done today, I feel much more determined to succeed! YAY!

But now it's 7 minutes to midnight, and I'm tired. Bring on tomorrow!! =D

Day 75

Well, my BMI is down even further today, and I did the biggest loser workout, but I'm not that motivated today.  I'm tired, tired, tired today.
I can't wait til the spring.  this weather is really getting to me.

The nice thing is is that my better half will be here on the weekend.  I miss him so this week.

Hope you all are doing well...

3/8/10 - Day 2, Chicago

Posted by mrsstew23 in Untagged

mrsstew23

So yesterday I had zero exercise (besides walking everywhere) and this is what I ate: banana, granola nut clusters, a beer and 5 baked ravioli for lunch and for dinner because I was STARVING we got nachos as an appetizer (didn't eat them all) and for my meal I had a veggie burger and potato salad - which I took half back and had for breakfast today.

Today I took advantage of the hotel's fitness room and did the elliptical for 35 minutes, burning 300 calories. Which, if you notice is way more than what I burn spending an HOUR on the Wii Fit. This is what I mean by real cardio. THIS is what is missing. I am so glad the warm weather is coming soon so I can start running outside. But then what am I supposed to do next winter? Maybe I will save up for an elliptical. Oh, and I also did a few yoga poses and 30 jackknives. Today will also be a lot of walking... I am going shopping on Michigan Ave, yay! I want to try to find a nice little vegetarian/healthy place to eat for lunch with fresh veggies, but I will just have to wait and see what I run into. Hopefully the Hershey store won't temp me. I don't even get tempted by sweets too much but damn, that Hershey store is awesome. For dinner we are going to this really cool Irish Pub we went to last time. Can't wait!
