Day 12

I have to start off by saying I am extremely proud of myself today. I actually got up when my alarm went off at 5:15am this morning and before the comfort of my bed could lure me back to sleep, I went straight to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on my face and went to work setting up the Wii Fit for my morning workout. I was very happy to have unlocked the Free Step yesterday so I went ahead and set it up for a 30 minute duration to get a good workout in without the interruption of changing screens from one group of activities to another. My issue was that I wanted to get a workout in before my daughter woke up and wanted to play around with the balance board.

Well, she did wake up but the nice thing about the Free Step is that you can watch TV while you do the activity so I was able to put on "Lazy Town" (how ironic!) to entertain her. The actual Wii-mote has a voice that not only counts (or beeps- your preference) a rhythm for you to follow but also updates you from time to time with how many steps you have taken, long long you have remaining, and offers works of encouragement. How neat is that? Regardless of what cartoon was on, my daughter had more fun counting along with the Wii-mote and I got 30 minutes accomplished which means 30 fit credits in my Fit Bank and the best part- 2697 steps before 6 am! The Free Step is awesome and I see it being very useful when I need to get a workout in but have things on TV that I want to watch too. Thank goodness for HD-DVRs!

Breakfast:

Chocolate frosted Duncan Donut (thanks to my boss buying donuts for everyone in our department, ::in best Homer Simpson voice::"Doh!")

Snack:

20 oz Cherry Coca-Cola Zero
0 calories/ 0 grams fat/ 0 grams fiber= 0 points

8oz green seedless grapes
157 calories/ .5 grams fat/ 2 grams fiber= 3 points


Lunch:

12.4oz baked potato
328 calories/ .4 grams fat/ 5.3 grams fiber= 6 points

1/4 cup Atheno's Crumbled Feta with basil and tomato
90 calories/ .5 grams fat/ 2 grams fiber= 2 points

Snack:

20 oz Diet Pepsi
0 calories/ 0 grams fat/ 0 grams fiber= 0 points

Slim Fast Optima Crispy Peanut Caramel snack bar
120 calories/ 4  grams fat/ 1 grams fiber= 3 points

Dinner:

Open Faced Poached Egg Muffin: sourdough english muffin split with two poached eggs and spicy brown mustard
275 calories/ 9 grams fat/ 2 grams fiber= 6 points

3 slices Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh shaved ham slices rolled up with 1/3 oz cream cheese                                                                                                                                          72.5 calories/ 5 grams fat/ 0 grams fiber= 2 points

TOTAL: 1242.5 calories/ 27 points

I went over my points a little today but that was okay because I got another 30 minute workout in after dinner! Another 2689 steps using the Free Step! I also unlocked the Lotus Focus balance game so I tried that out for an extra Fit Credit (it's kinda lame, but easy).  :)
