Still not back on the Wii, but am staying active, nonetheless. I rode my bike to and from work daily this week, and managed to make it up the killer hill once...the other days I tried I was stopped by the traffic light. Seriously, though...what idiot thought to put a traffic light right in the middle of a hill?? Someone who clearly hates cyclists, that's who!! The day I actually made it up the hill (yesterday), my legs burned for the rest of the ride home and were total jello. I was supposed to go for a run with the running group a few hours later, and was *so* close to bailing on it, except the guilt of not running for 5 days won. I did a 2.6km run with the beginner group and made myself be content with that.

On Saturday I plan on doing  a 25km bike ride to my friend's house, which is a city over from mine. Hopefully that will go alright...I told her to have a bed made up for when I get there, cuz I'll probably need a nap!

I still haven't touched my Wii in ages (wow, did that sound totally dirty or what?!). I haven't even done a body test in a few weeks...I used to do them religiously every morning. Must get back at it.

Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I keep meaning to, but since I've been going to bed earlier lately, I forget (I usually post quite late at night!). I haven't been using my Wii at all lately, though I'm hoping to change that soon. If you've been keeping up with my blog posts at all, it's pretty much been all running, all the time lately. Last Sunday, I participated in the 10K I mentioned, and am happy to say I survived and did pretty well. I finished in 1 hour 12 minutes and 52 seconds. That was the first time I've ever run 10k in my life, and my goal was between 1h10min and 1hr15min, so I'm very pleased.

I haven't run since, though...my legs were ridiculously sore for two days after, which made it hard to do much of anything. I went for a massage, though, which greatly helped speed up the healing. It's been rainy the past few days, but as soon as it gets nice out again I'll be back on the road.

After doing the 1776 stair climb last weekend, I gave myself a bit of leeway to be lazy for a few days. Hard to believe, but not a single muscle in my body was sore after doing that. I have no idea how, but I'll take it. Finally, on Wednesday I decided that I had no excuse for not getting off my ass. Here are the workouts for the past few days...

Another quickie. I haven't been doing much besides running lately. I've just decided in the past few days that I am going to do a 10K run at the beginning of May.  It's going to be tough, but I know I'll be 90% ready for it, so my focus over the next little while will mainly be on that. I'm going to have to remember to fire up the Wii every few days, though!  Today's workout: 3.16km run @ 27:08 / 276 cals
