It's been a few days since I've updated this, but that's mainly because I haven't been working out much. I'm not really all that motivated to turn the Wii on this week, to be honest.

Today is gorgeous (22C), so I decided it would be a good time to go for a run on my own, in order to be able to keep up with the training group next week. Since they're all running as a group 3x/week and I'm just joining them once/week, I have to do my "homework". I decided to get a bit of a jump on things by doing 3x1's (3mins run, 1min walk, repeat x # of times). Today's goal was to run for 3omins, but when I hit that mark, I was so close to 5km, that I kept going. So, I'm very happy to say that for the first time since university, I ran 5km! I'm pretty proud of motivating myself without the push of having the group with me.

Quick entry tonight...I'm exhausted!!
Went for second group run. Felt great. We did 2:1's x7 (2min run, 1 min walk). Definitely feel motivated to run when with a group, so I'm going to stick with it.

I haven't exercised much since Wednesday, other than walking to and from the subway (which is just over 1km each way). Tonight I tried to do a workout that would kill as many calories as possible in the shortest amount of time, because I'm a little behind on some work.

I didn't work out yesterday at all...unless you count lugging home a 90lb bookshelf from Ikea. My arms were SO sore from the day before that I could barely lift the box to put into my cart! And the taxi driver made me put the box in and out of the cab myself. Grr.
Tonight was a real struggle, too. I'm still a bit sore, mostly in my calves and my right heel is a bit tight, so it took a lot to get through the workout.
