Best shape of my life

Well, it has been quite a while since I have posted anything. 
So, here goes the story.  Back in Feburaruy, I got off my lazy butt and joined a gym.  I have been going there 4-5 times a week.  I still use the Wii Fit but only as a scale, doing the exercises at rare times.

However, I have added tons of muscle to my frame, lost a lot of fat, but I am still at 284 pounds.  I know that I have added 20-30 pounds in muscle, so the numbers just dont bother me. 
I still go on  walks on occassions (7 miles was the last one), but mostly stick to skating, bowling, swimming, or the gym workouts.

I have noticed that my stomach is still distended, but I think that has a lot to do with adding 200 pounds to my stomach crunches.  I can do them easily, and I think I have added a LOT of ab muscles there. 
However, now that I have the muscles in place that I want, it is time for me to get off my lazy butt, and start to perfrom aerobic exercises to help burn off the fat layers that I still have.

My diet has been changed back to Slimfast shakes, snacks, and salads for the most part, in order to help with the remaining fat loss.

I am still around 277 pounds.  But, since starting Wii Fit and going to the gym 4-5 times a week for a quick workout, I am in so much better shape.

Finding a rythym

I know use my Wii Fit for my cardio workouts 6 times a week.  I mostly do the free step and the Rythym parade.  I will throw in the Rythym Kung Fu once a week or so.

The big thing is, I joined a gym near me so I could get in the strength training with the weights. 
Its just a matter of finding what works for you.  Since I work from home, I have tons of time to get to the gym at 5am, do a workout and then come home and sleep the morning away again. 
My wife has been in the hospital since last Friday having a total knee replacement.  I have not had time to do any workouts or Wii Fit stuff since then.  I did manage to get onto the scale yesterday and noticed that I have lost 3.3 pounds since Friday. I guess all of the running around counts as exercise.

I have to run now and hang out with the wife in the hospital.  She is being released this late afternoon or early tonight.  I guess that means I have to clean the apartment, take out the trash, clean the litter box ( the cats will appreciate this) and get the bedroom ready for her walker.

Have fun and take care Wii Fitting.  It can be very addicting.

Snow

As much fun as 1 foot of snow is in Texas, it needs to go away so I can get my daily outside exercises in.  I am doing the Wii Fit Plus and it is helping, but it doesnt give me the energy burn and I am so freakin hyper right now.

Missing people

Spacejpckey is right.  We have far too many people start their blogs and then never show up again. 
I am still here, but in a rather reduced capacity until this "winter-thingie" blows over.  Its jsut too cold to go outside and exercise.  So, I have to do it from the confines of the apartment. 
This is not normal weather for Texas.  Snow doesnt fall in February (ice storms are more common down here) and by March, we are usually in the 70's.    I guess, we still have two weeks to endure this crap and then on to the good weather.

At least I have Wii Fit to keep my working out indoors.

Motivation

Here's an easy question for everyone.

What motivates you to keep on exercising?

My answer is easy, look at my photos.  I havent lost much weight and am still hovering around 271, but my physique has gotten so much better.  My arms are starting to show signs of "guns".  My legs are in great shape.  My abs are getting tighter every day.

My motivation is to be in better shape every day more so that the day before.
