Wii Day 124 - numbers not moving

Posted by winerypair in Untagged

Hello all,

Still wii-ing but still busy.  :( I have been to the UK this weekend, ate a lot (went to a christening) but worked outside in the garden, which is sometimes better than doing wood-chops on the wii.  :)

I'm doing relatively well, suffering a bit from allergies at the moment, and have lost all motivation for working out.  Is anyone else suffering from wii-burnout? Because I think I am.  I love working out when I do, but I can't seem to "get back on track."

Any ideas?

Hugs to you all.

BMI currently is 23.56 (boohoo)

Wii Day 107 - still going strong!

Hello everyone!  I haven't been around for a while because things have gotten pretty hectic with my call schedule.  6 night calls in 15 days leaves little / no time for working out.  Plus, my motivation reached an all time low about 2 weeks ago, and just was concerned with getting a decent amount of sleep.  So, I'm sorry that I've been gone for so long.  I didn't mean to.

Today I restarted my "Biggest Loser" challenge.  Since I fell off the wagon (but I have been doing my body test regularly), I have not gained any weight.  I am still watching what I'm eating, still using the weight watchers as a guide, but I'm a little more lax about it.  I have not gained, and my BMI is about 22.92, which is pretty good for not having done much.

The Biggest Loser workouts are great.  It's a lot different the EA:SA, and I really like it.  It's more serious than I thought, and I had fun today.  It seems to concentrate more on muscle toning than aerobics.
So, I'm stable.  :)  That's something, at least.  It felt sooooo good to work out again today, and I hope that I've found my motivation again.
As a side note, I'm also suffering a little bit from the distance from my other half.  We've been apart for 3 weeks now, and it's really getting to be difficult not seeing him.  We're going to see each other next weekend, after all my calls are done and over with.  I am sooooo looking forward to it, and want to be even fitter than I am now.  So there's my motivation!

Thanks for inquiring about me while I've been on my hiatus.  I hope to get into the swing of things this spring.

hey, just wanting to say that I'm still alive.  Still working out, but just have been busy.  I haven't had time to write any blogs, but thanks to SpaceJockey's reminders and inquiries, I'm still on the wii band wagon.

I will post more soon, I promise.

Wii Day 76 - TBL Workout

Day 76

With all the motivation I could gather today, I did a 30 minute challenging workout on the biggest loser program.  It seemed to go well, although they said I burned 47 calories, my heart rate monitor said  about 211...  My average heart rate was 135....  I worked out 37 minutes.  Not bad...

Other than that, I've been slack with counting weight watchers points.  I haven't really counted points, but I've been keeping up with watching my portions.
I'm on call tonight, so let's hope that it's an easier call....  if not, that's alright too.  :)

Keep your chins up, everyone!

Day 75

Well, my BMI is down even further today, and I did the biggest loser workout, but I'm not that motivated today.  I'm tired, tired, tired today.
I can't wait til the spring.  this weather is really getting to me.

The nice thing is is that my better half will be here on the weekend.  I miss him so this week.

Hope you all are doing well...

Wii Day 74 - Biggest Loser Workout 1

Day 74

Today's stats:

Weight:
62.0 kg
BMI: 22.70 (down - lowest yet!)
Exercises Today:  Body Test .  50 minutes of the Biggest loser workout
Wii-Calories: 47
Steps walked so far today: 9000ish
Weight Watchers Points:
 5
Bonus Points through exercise: 5.5

HRM Calories: 310
HRM Time: 50
HRM Average Heart Rate: 138
Feelings: Well, I mustered up enough motivation to start the biggest loser challenge.  It's a lot different than the other programs I have at home (EA:SA, Wii Fit Plus)....  I like it.  I thought it would be a little stupid, but it turns out that it's quite a serious program.  Some of it's fun, some of it's pure workout, and the extra bits and bats are alright if you're a newbie to dieting and eating healthy.
I don't think the "burned calories" they tell you on the biggest loser is correct.  It told me that I burned 47 for all the stuff I did, but my heart rate monitor told me I burned 310.  Big difference!

I like the fact that they concentrate on stretching, warming up and cooling down after a workout.  I don't think the wii remote is that sensitive for this game, though, and I have a feeling they just do it "pro-forma."  Your image is not mirrored in the fat person that is on the screen, and you're just basically supposed to follow the trainer.  I like the EA:SA for mirroring ME much better.

Well, that's it for now, best be getting off!
