Day 1 of the 100 Day Challenge

A little about myself: I'm 25 years old, married, a father of one, and a programmer. I sit in front of a computer 99% of the day, 5 days a week, and sometime on the weekends. I have been "skinny" (under 150) my entire life until I damaged my knee. I began noticing weight gain about a year and a half ago, but didn't really think anything of it since weight gain for me wasn't that much. My knee was repaired nine months ago and I have been trying to exercise, but motivation was lacking. My wife and I have had the Wii Fit since it first came out, which I think was around the May 2008. I am now 167 lbs, which to most people isn't that bad and I agree it's not; however, it is not distributed and now my pants are barely fitting. I have a few I can't wear anymore. Most people would say this is normal, but I bought the pants a year ago when they were slightly loose and now I can't wear one of them at all.

 I'm taking the 100 Day Challenge to help myself feel better and have more energy, but most of all I don't want to buy new pants. I'm also hoping that after the 100 Day Challenge I will be able to sleep better and release more energy during the day.

 My goal for Day 1 is to lose 2 lbs in two weeks, which I'm sure is going to be quite easy.

 Wii Fit Age: 25

Weight: 166.7 lbs

BMI: 22.57%

 Exercises: 

  • Tricep Extension - 3 minutes - I found this very easy, not sure I was doing it right...
  • Shoulder Stand - 2 minutes - This was extremely hard to begin, but felt pretty good once stable.
  • Bridge - 2 minutes - This feels very nice on your back.
  • Cobra - 2 minutes - If you want to stretch your abs/back this is perfect.
  • Palm Tree - 2 minutes - Nice back/leg stretch.
  • Sideways Leg-Lift - 2 minutes - I was very unstable doing this, but hopefully it gets better.
  • Downward-facing Dog - 2 minutes - Make sure you are evenly distributing your weight between yor hands and feet.
  • Hula Hoop - 3 minutes - I just plain suck at this...but it really works your abs and love handles.
