Burned: 256 cal
Time: 57 minutes
New Activities Tried: Rowing squat (yikes hard), Balance Bubble Plus, Arm & Leg Lift
Distance on Free Run: I didn't do this today, but I hope to make a habit of it daily.
Balance board worked better today, only during Free Step did it seem to not record every step I took, not sure what's up with that. So, I make a yoghurt smoothie every morning, enough for my kids and me, they take theirs on the school bus and I toss mine back before my workout and I really think it's helping me with my energy levels as it was improving even before I started the Wii Fit last week. I'll post my recipe below, if you try it let me know what you think.
Yesterday, I should have been doing a lot of things around here, not the least of which is school work, but, I'm a geek and I got sucked into Excel. I'm creating a workbook for Chris & I, to simplify our daily Wii Fit Routine. So far, I have 14 tabs, 7 days of the week, Mon/Fri Abs, Tues Arms, Wed Core, Thurs Legs, Sat/Sun shorter & more fun. Then I will be making 2 Yoga, 2 Strength, 2 Light/short for bad days, the last tab is the list of activities available on Wii Fit Plus. The best part, how easy it is to change it up daily using drop down menus inside each routine :D. Yeah, I'm weird like that, excel spreadsheets are fun LOL. Anyway, once I'm done, I'll be happy to share it, requirement is to have Excel 97 or newer (I am working in 2007 but need to save it in the older version for Chris anyway, and we tested it and it still works :D). Well off to get that laundry done as for some reason it didn't do itself yesterday *sigh*, someone needs to come up with self-clean clothing ;).
Have a fantastic weekend Fitters !! 8)
Yoghurt Smoothie (3 servings, adjust to suit)
- 1 c. of fruit (this is generally at least one banana and then the rest is whatever I add, usually frozen fruit)
- 1 tbsp. Honey, good quality & unpasteurized
- 3 tbsp. Ground Flax
- 3 tbsp. Powdered skim milk (protein powder would be great here, whey, not soy)
- 1 c. of juice (I like pineapple or orange, but my 8 yo hates both, so whatever I have in the fridge, unsweetened juice is best)
- 1 c. of balkan yoghurt (plain, thick yoghurt)
Place ingredients in a blender in the order listed (just mixes better that way) and well, blend. Approx. 1 cup each. Enjoy! (Let me know what you think if you try it, my kids love this).

. If you like them really cold, take a ripe banana, break it up and freeze it in a small sandwich baggie. Works great and it makes the smoothie thicker too
