First Day with Wii Fit Routine!

I officially started WW and using the Wii Fit Plus last week. My first week has seen me clock up nearly 6 hrs on the Wii Fit Plus, and I gotta say eventhough the scales arent really showing a significant weight loss (ive read that some people have lost anything up to 8lbs in their first week!!), I definetly feel alot better for it! Even my hubby noticed that I feel like i lost a little weight lol. What makes this year different for me (ive been trying to lose weight for the last 6 yrs since i had my gorgeous little girl), is that I am gonna go on holiday late May and will be seeing lots of loved ones that i havent seen for a year, and I would love to be slimmer! Plus, Ive felt my health deteriorating last year, where I used to wake up in the morning with chest pain,and my self confidence hit an all time low, so hoping this will be my turning point!

My main problem was not food, I eat only 2 meals a day, but my evening 'relaxing' glass of wine, which often became 2 or 3 glasses. What with the alcohol and the fairly inactive daily routine, I would spend hrs online, I piled on the pounds! I have found the Wii Fit to motivate me, I love the calorie counter, the graphs, and the fun 'exercises'. I actually find myself looking forward to doing some exercise, which I havent done for years!

Ideally I would like to lose around 30lbs by June, not sure how achievable that is, but Im hoping that the Wii Fit will help me on my personal mission. Already my will power and determination are being tested as we have a terrible cold in the household which has seen me and my daughter feeling pretty unwell for over a week, and it currently shows no signs of improving! However im determind to do this.....if only to get out of my sweats and sneakers that ive been wearing for 6 yrs. I wanna go shopping for some nice clothes and shoes, and start feeling confident again!

Can Wii do it, yes Wii can!

I lost 25 pounds in just over 4 months, so with proper diet and exercise it is possible. For the diet it's better overall to eat more small meals than a few big meals. That keeps the energy level constant throughout the day and no major dips in blood sugar. This site is definitely great and if you need any tips or motivation or want to BS, just let us know. We are here for each other.

Hi Gina, (love that name) I've been doing the Wii for a few days now, and I feel so much better. I agree that more small meals are better than a few big ones. You should really get in the habit of reading labels, and be aware of trans fats, & high fructose corn syrup. Whole wheat products are better for us because of the fiber content. Do away with anything made with white flour like breads, pasta, and rice. I buy vita top muffins for a snack with my afternoon tea. They are only 100 calories, but high in fiber, and only 1 point on WW. The Wii helps me to keep moving. smilies/smiley.gif
