Walking the Path to Fitness & Health

Health is all we have. Money may make life a blast, but health, spiritual, physical and mental cannot be bought with money so my focus is on keeping myself healthty and active so I wont be a burden to others because of my lifestyle, food and activity choices.

17,000 calories from November 19th through January 31st according to my EASA 2.0 states, which includes the six days I did not exercise because of coughing spells when I had the flu/bad respiratory infections/sinus infections, etc.  Although I feel stronger and I have more muscle definition, I’m not sure how that will impact my Blood Work numbers.  Yesterday I went to a Lab and I had nightmares as I walked toward the office and it wasn’t because of getting stuck.

The last time I had been at that particular office over two years ago, it was a nightmare, unorganized, nasty folk (it was only one person manning the office, checking folks in, handling the paperwork, drawing the blood, etc.  I had been going to the building where my endocrinologist has her offices which has a lab on the first floor.  Now, I have had some issues there because one time I went one of the check in people kept trying to hand back the wrong insurance cards to the right person, I watched her like a hawk.  She was one of those folks who argue with you when you said, “I’m sorry but this is not my card,” as if you don’t know who you are.  However, today I was pleasantly surprised.  The office had been redone, there were two people taking information at a window, and three people available to draw blood.  I was in and out within 20 minutes even though there were three people how were before me.

People (the woman with the bad attitude (probably because she was there by herself) was no longer there, and the people in the office were pleasant.  Now I hope my blood work gets to my doctor.  At the last visit there was also a messed up blood draw.  The doctors never got my results, even though my insurance got charged.  They, the lab, had messed up my sample and didn’t have anything to test but I was never told this nor called back to the office.  I happened to find out that little piece a year later when I asked that my blood work, all of it, be sent to my new endo.  Nice, very nice
