A Journey From The Cane

Using the WII as the primary therapy tool to recover from a head injury that occurred 6 years ago. I Have exhausted every other way, doctors, therapists and non-traditional methods. My condition kept getting worse until I was handicapped.

Yesterday I was part of a fact finding group for a computer conversion we will be doing and hopefully completing in February of 2011.  I work for a 120 plus year old social service agency, taking care of people from the cradle to the grave.  We visited a sister agency about 2 hours south of New York City (South Jersey) who has been using the product for three years.  We had questions and they had great answers on how they use the reporting capabilities of the product, which I’m interested in because I’m in the Finance part.

I’m still dealing with the problem of my knees and looking for solutions in changing my exercise routines to not make them worse even though I’m not getting a lot of pain, and more than not, no pain.  May lack of pain and my flexibility and mobility may also be due to the supplements of Flax and Fish Oil, Ginger and Cinnamon which are kind of anti-inflammatory, although that was not why I began taking them.  What I don’t want to do is wear away any cartilage I have left and I’ve been given several options, the last would be knee replacements.  Kenny has told me about his wife’s bionic knees and that was very helpful, although I suspect when they fly, metal detectors go off.  I’m reading up on Synvisc Injections.  I’m going to try to contact some “medical” folks who are not in the pocket of drug companies (good luck to me).  I’ve had a procedure totally unrelated to what I’m going through now when I go a lot of negative feedback from many of my doctors, but doing research I decided to have it done.  It was the best thing I have done for my body, UAE.  I was one of the earliest women in the United States to have this procedure done, although it France it had become part of standard care for Uterine Fibroids.
