Busy life

So back again after a week of rushing around and very little time at home. Weight has dropped a little - I'll give thanks to possibly working out a lunch and eating out solution that doesn't layer on the calories and tracking what I am eating through livestrong.com.

Still trying to form healthy habits but it is back to the doc next week for more tests and to see what went wrong with the thyroid meds he gave me that I now have insomnia but otherwise don't feel any different. I seriously should be shedding weight by now - it has been 9 weeks.

One Week back on the horse....

For a couple months at least now a very dear friend of mine and chat buddy from the US has been getting on me (in a nice way ;) ) to unpack my Wii Fit (after a move this summer) so that we could get moving on a workout together. I've been suffering (as I look back) with a bout of depression for the past, at least 4 months? and as I saw myself slowly pull out of it (which is of course when it dawned on me that was the issue) I was very unhappy with how heavy I have become over the past 18 months, how out of shape I am, and how tired I am all the time. As you read my blog you'll get to know more of my motivation, but this was a big part.

 With my friend's encouragement, I pulled out the balance board, charged up the batteries, tracked down the disc and texted her that evening, "Babe, we're set up, ready to start tomorrow?" or something to that effect... lol. I searched the internet and found a workout for us on someone's blog and got set to rock. Last Tuesday, we turned on msn, got our Wii's going, and we started. It felt soooo good, but that workout wasn't all that helpful, even for this lazy butt, it was a good start but I needed more. So she tracked down this site... LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much to the creators :D.
