Figuring...

Gotta figure out what to do when we go out for lunch as a staff.  I need to figure out what to do about portion size and ingredients.  We were supposed to go one place, but ended up at a Japanese grill and I had no idea what was going to be the mean between too little and too much.  I went with an appetizer of steamed pork gyoza, but that ended up not being filling.  But looking at the other portions of the meals around the table, that would have been too much (but not enough to split in half and make two meals).

Had reheated wings from last night (5), corn on the cob, and peas and carrots for dinner.  Did about 40 min of aerobics and about to go grab an apple.

Exercise - meh Food - YUM

Tried a routine I had come across on another site for some 'serious' ab work.  But, when all was said and done, most seemed too easy and the rest were impossible to do this soon into my routines (3 Planks? No thanks.)  So after what felt like a very unsatisfactory workout, I tacked on 20 of free step.  I'll try a different routine next time around. I really liked my workouts this weekend.  I don't know if my dissatisfaction today is which exercises there were or that it was 30 minutes (before the step) instead of an hour or what.

On the food front, I had leftover pasta, but spent my cooking time prepping a marinade so my chicken for tomorrow could soak overnight.  It smells amazing and I can't wait to get home and stick it in the oven.  Tomorrow will be chicken, corn on the cob and green beans.  I'm making enough chicken that I should have leftovers for a while, so no cooking until Friday or Saturday (spicy pork chops, anyone?)

Days 1 and 2

AmbiguouslyMe

So here starts what will hopefully be a successful change of lifestyle to bring down my cholesterol, avoid future knee problems, and fit into the clothes I like!  Six months ago, I was 10 pounds lighter than I am now.  That realization was prompted by putting on a shirt that fit when I was at one of my heaviest points in HS and having it feel a little tight.  I realized then I was pushing 220 on a 5'5" frame.  So, the goal is 1lb a week, to get back to around the 160ish mark by this time next year.  More important than the numbers, however, is getting my waist size down from 40" and back to polos not feeling skin tight (anything large enough for my gut is far too big for my shoulders and comes to my knees, so mostly, I'm wearing things tight).
