Day 14: Body Test Day is not a happy day.

So, I gained 3 years and 2 kg since I started the Wii Fit Plus. Excuse my language, but fuck that. First of all, it's my first body test since the original, so I didn't know how to do the tests, which probably made me look bad. Anyway. Disappointing, but I'm trying not to be too angry, and tell myself I'm gaining muscle. Nice excuse, but whatever.

Today's Workout: 26 minutes? Something like that.

Did I overdo it? We'll see in the next 24 hours.

I did 20 minutes on the Wii, BUT even before that, I was showing my mom some of the multiplayer games like skiing, soccer head-balling (that sounds diiiirty) and hulahoop. On my second ever golf swing I got 2 yards from the hole. It was a total fluke and I doubt I will ever get 4 stars again! I liked the skiing, it was fun. THEN, we took Daisy (my dog) for a walk in the park. I took some pictures of the blooming flowers and the new baby geese, whic you can see in a slideshow here: http://perpetualspiral.tumblr.com/post/559166223/pictures-from-victoria-park-today-new-flowers. Then we went for some grocery shopping, and after I came back I did my wii workout:

Time for a program reboot

I don't feel fat but I know I have been slacking and I am now at my heaviest I have ever been. I have no real idea how I packed on quite so much in such a short space of time, especially as things looked so well just 3 weeks ago.

So back to the drawing board, re-schedule my life to make more room for exercise and more food journaling. I have cooked healthfully for the month and it is all in my freezer so I wont be eating out much, which should help. Getting lunch each day from mom is also helping me to not hit the take out places at lunchtime BUT stress has been through the roof and I so need to find a better alternative to chocolate for me to feel better.

So back again after a week of rushing around and very little time at home. Weight has dropped a little - I'll give thanks to possibly working out a lunch and eating out solution that doesn't layer on the calories and tracking what I am eating through livestrong.com.

Still trying to form healthy habits but it is back to the doc next week for more tests and to see what went wrong with the thyroid meds he gave me that I now have insomnia but otherwise don't feel any different. I seriously should be shedding weight by now - it has been 9 weeks.

Day 7! 9 days in, 7 workouts :)

  • Burned: 280 cal
  • Time: 56 minutes
  • Wii Fit Age: 44 L
  • New Activities Tried: Dance, Cobra, Rhythm Parade, Basic Run Plus
  • Distance on Free Run: 1.384 mi

I'm having issues with my balance board. Part way into my workout, usually when I'm ready to start Advance Step or Free Step, it starts acting up. It either says my weight has changed since last time, or I get to Start and then it tells me to get off the board, when I'm not on it (how rude). I then have to pause and re-sync to the Wii Fit. Chris suggested that she keeps her sensor bar (we both have wireless) on the floor during Wii Fit, so I'll attempt that tomorrow to see if it helps, or at least lower than it is now. My tv is mounted on the wall above my fireplace, so it's quite high up and I've been keeping my bar just below it on the mantle for gaming purposes. I charged ALL my batteries yesterday and I put my top of the line batteries in the board, so I really hope it helps as it is very disruptive otherwise.
