Day 41

Today's stats:
Weight: 62.5 kg
BMI: 22.88 (same OMG!)
Exercises Today:  Body Test only so far.  Walking home from work today for about15 minutes. I think today is going to be a rest day.
Burned Calories: Don't know.  My heart rate monitor still hasn't come.
Steps walked so far today: 7473
Weight Watchers Points: 7
Bonus Points through exercise: none
Feelings: Knackered!  I had a 16 hour call that was from hell.  Let me ask: why do (mostly) retirees feel the need to climb up on a ladder in sub-zero temperatures and snow to shovel show off roofs?  I mean, yes, the snow has gotten heavy, but... come on!  And then they fall off the roof (usually over 5 meters) and break hips and ankles and arms and shoulders and ribs.... Or what I saw yesterday while walking to work on 4 inches of pure ice: an over 60ish woman who was running to get the bus....  I am 37, and I wouldn't DREAM of doing these things in this weather!  I think sometimes when we get older that a synapse or two isn't wired up correctly anymore.  I don't mean to offend anyone here, but it's really just silly to do these things. I hope you all exercise  not only your muscles, but also caution this winter.  These examples and much more kept me up 17 of the 16 hours I was on call. I stayed an hour later to make sure everything was caught up.  Luckily, I didn't have time to eat anything, but I missed the time to drink some water.  Then, when I was so close to reaching my goal steps (new pedometer on weekend!), I accidentally erased it.  Talk about upsetting.
So, I got home today at about 9:30 am, drank about 1/2 liter of water  and slept until 1:30.  I can't believe it, but I'm still tired.  I wish I wouldn't have slept so long, but I guess I cannot help that right now. I doubt I'm going to get a burst of energy today to do any sort of workout - it was difficult even doing the body test.  I kept knocking the numbers that were higher than 5 instead of lower.  Dummy!
I'm more than a little upset with my ebay seller with the heart rate monitor.  I have demanded my money back, and hope that the money will be returned to me soon.  Maybe I'll look for a new one today on ebay.  Well, I wish you all happy wii-ing and til tomorrow....

M.

How long have you been waiting for? Sometimes they ship media mail to save a buck and it takes that much longer. That's a great # of steps you're getting in though. I work with old people all week as well so I know things aren't "wired" correctly. Sad but true when you get older. Although the same could be said for teenagers. Why go out in 20 degree weather in shorts and a tshirt? I see it quite often.
