The Biggest Loser

This is the newest addition to my repertoire of Wii Exercise Programs. It is quite different than the other programs I have at home, and it

Oooh, what I forgot to say was:

If you disagree/agree/have additions to anything I said, please post! My opinion is just that: an opinion. If you would like to say I'm full of cotton in my head about the programs, that's not a problem! If you have tried the other programs out, please post your opinions here! That way we can get a good review of the products that are available to us!

I did like TBL when I first got it and did have a good weight loss of 2 lbs that week, but I got quite bored with it very quickly. You can only set a routine with 9 activities and repeat them several times as circuits. I will use it occasionally to do a couple of the challenges.

I liked EA Sports better, had used it a few months before it got to boring me too but I will get back on that again soon. I don't use the band or leg strap and so avoid any exercise using them.

I like Wii Fit Plus best, not just because it seems the easiest, but it's fun too. I have even moved on to using some of the muscle routines, 1st time in about 112 days on Wii.

This week I only put in 30 mins daily on WFP and stayed the same, with no weight loss but no gain either

Excellent reviews given by you M., by the way!

I personally have never had any problem with the leg strap on EA:SA falling down mid routine. Then again I tighten it very tight. Constantly switching the nunchuck/leg strap uses back and forth can be annoying, but I find it gives a nice rest break between exercises. Like if you do several cardio exercises, then you can do shoulder press to rest your legs while giving your arms a chance to work out. It does get annoying all the changes but I find it to be a good thing. Also you can purchase several different resistance bands for less than $20 bucks to increase the difficulty and work performed during the workouts. It's the same as buying the 3" board riser for WFP to increase the burn by stepping higher up each time.

One thing EA:SA and WFP seems to need to work on is accurate time and calories burned. EA:SA is probably the closest to reality since it measures in tenths of a calorie based on how much the Wiimote is moving. WFP seems to have set numbers of calories burned based on your weight and the exercise done. I have friends that are 275 that do one exercise and burn 13 calories. I do the same exercise and only burn 7 calories. Also every time I'm doing the exercise I always burn 7 calories, it never changes unless you weight changes. Maybe it's just me but if I'm doing spinal stretch and so is my friend, we both are working the same amount yet he is burning almost twice as much. That's something that needs to be addressed in future exergames.
