Hula Sprints: These are 4 or 6 minute super hula hoops where you try to get at least 300 every 2 minutes  to get your heart rate up.  This works especially well with weight loss routines, when a nice steady easy pace is followed for about 10 minutes afterwards

I hate the hula hoop routine! Does anyone have any pointers on how to do this? I can't get past 5-10 spins at a time. I'm HORRIBLE! smilies/cry.gif

I am ok doing it to the left but going to the right is very weak. I need to build up my left side. But when I seem to be lossing it I pretend that I am doing the pelvic thrust in a circle (like in the song Time Warp - Rocky Horror move.... Do some of the yoga moves to open up. It was doing some of the yoga moves that I realised that my left side isnt very powerful. And you arent horrible, you are just starting out.......

This gave me very very very bad hip pain. I'm not sure why but it's every time I do it and it lasts for DAYS. Has anyone else had this issue? It's to to point that I won't use it because I really feel like it's doing some damage. It's not a "ooo you are out of shape" kind of pain. It's much worse. Thoughts?

I get an average of about 1100-1200 spins for the 10 minute. Not sure if that's average or not but I can sure feel it working my heart & making me sweat!!!

I just finished the 6 minute hula hoop routine and got 1754 spins. I got 777 for the right and then jumped back with 977 for the left. The left is definitely my strong suit and always the direction I go when doing basic hula hoop. I have a feeling my abs are gonna be SORE tomorrow!!

I am finding this hard. It's not that I'm not coordinated, but the total I have gotten to for the left and right is 550 spins. Not good...sometimes after a while my body gets like jelly and I have to actually think about left....right... I'm not giving up. smilies/smiley.gif

This one is my favorite, and I usually get between 1800 and 1900 spins in 6 minutes. I also try to "tuck" in my behind and I can feel my stomach and ab muscles getting a workout. PLUS, it gets me sweating because it is a great aerobic workout. I swear I feel skinnier by just doingit! smilies/grin.gif

My absolute favorite for aerobics! I can do this all day! Well not exactly, but you know what I mean =3 I have so much fun doing this one and I sweat!! A two for one for me!

Kezune
This and Free Step are my two favorite activities. : D I love the run too but this is especially fun. In the ten minute, I usually average over 1700 on both sides, even when I'm tired. Dancing certainly helps.
