To get the best benefit out of this workout try adding wrist weights. For added benefit keep your fists up at eye level during the entire set, this will work your shoulders. Throw clean punches and return to a defensive posture after each.
Wii Fit Plus Tip:
You want to work all four punches during the free round.First - Right and Left Jab
Straight punch very little movement
Second - Right and Left Hook
Punch with your right hand in a small circle towards your left, do not make thie movement very big, and return your hand back to defense as soon as the punch is completed
Third - Right and Left Upper Cut
Come up from underneath with your punch, get your entire body behind the movement.
Fourth - Right and Left Cross
This is another power punch. Punch with your entire body from right to left or from left to right.
Wii Fit Routine Challenge:
Try adding wrist weights or a resistance back stretched behind your back to increase your punch speed and strength.

Ok, I love the boxing - I work up a real sweat doing it, it feels good but one thing is annoying the heck out of me - the dodging.
Exactly what are you meant to do? Should yuo lean your weight across? It never seems to register me.

While boxing, you should have the remote and nunchuck vertical. In order to dodge, all you do is tilt both of them in the direction it tells you to. So you could move your whole body to the side, but make sure the controllers tilt too. Hope that helps.

I love the boxing too, but have a hard time with the left punch using the nunchuk. It just doesn't register. I've tried (left hand) punching straight out, as well as a hook, and rotating the nunchuk a little...sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. I have no problem with the right hand (with the controller). I'm also left handed so not sure it has to do with coordination. How do other people hold it? Also, how do you know what punch to throw? I try and look at the boxing coach's form, do I need to pay more attention to exactly what he is doing?

I have some trouble getting the nunchuck to register at times; what helps me is to make sure that my hand is crossing in front of me slightly, to stay within the boundaries of the Wii sensor. Does that makes sense?
Sadly, I think I put my feet down incorrectly, as they feel very fatigued after Rhythmic Boxing.
