Burn off calories and strengthen legs.

This is an extremly monotonous exercise, spice it up with some music and change the timing of the wii fit to match the song.

How do i get my wii fit to do the free step? I have been doing the step with the miis and the music is hideous and i would love to do my own thing with my own music, but have it lot my fit credits.

Thanks for any replies (

ps, also, once I have this, how do i set my wii like stated in this article, to the music i have chosen?)

Once you've done the advanced step several times, it should unlock the free step. What they mean by setting the beat to your music is to speed it up or slow it down to match...it'll tell you how to do it once you've unlocked it and try it out.

Yes, this one can get boring fast!

Picking your favorite music will help get you though this one.

You can even change the channel on the TV to watch your programs. You will want to change the rhythm to voice,(pressing the "A" button), your trainer will count for you ( 1,2,3,4,1,2,...).

Be sure to change legs when you reach hundred counts.

Beware, fancy footwork, anything other than a basic step will not count as a step.

Try it, and share your tricks.

I have the wrist/ankle weights that velcro on, I use those when I am free stepping on my arms, and get an arm and shoulder workout too. Yes, the stepping is boring, I was hoping they would have added something to the step with Fit Plus, but, unfortunately they didn't.

I do this while watching the morning news. Kills two birds with one stone so to say.

I wear my I-Pod and step "dance". I think it counts most of my steps. I also do arm movements and try to make it more like dance aerobics (high kicks, kick out, shake my booty, and hips, etc). Even if it doesn't count every step (I usually get over 2,000 in 20 minutes), I still get a more strenouous workout than I would get if I just did "steps." And, most importantly, I make sure no one is watching while I dance! smilies/wink.gif
