I can't seem to raise my knee the way shown without bending! I know I'm larger than I thought, but I'm struggling with getting my knee to a point where I can hold it comfotably with both hands, never mind pulling it up after. Is there any tips/advice I can get with this one to get the maximum effect?

If you're having trouble holding your knee comfortably with your hands you can try holding a tube sock or a belt in both hands and putting it around your knee to help you pull it higher.

If balance is the problem: if it's your right knee, hold it with your right hand and use the left hand to balance on a wall. Raise it up just enough to where you can hold it without losing grip mid-session.

Note: I have alot of trouble holding my balance here. I think the goal of the exercise is to stretch those muscles, not keeping the balance. I can stand on one leg for awhile, just not in that position. The way I do it sometimes: I have a low couch in front of me, I stand one foot on the balance board and raise the other and set it on top of the couch. The positioning is the same as if I were doing it balanced, but it really gives me alot more stretching than when I focus on maintaining balance. Is this ok to do?

1. Hey, how come the trainer has a British Accent? Mine doesn't, Wah.

2. I am going to try Joey's method to get more out of my stretch

3. I am concerned that using a prop will defeat the purpose of perfecting my balance...

4. I don't recall having a warm-up or stretch category, is this another continent thing?
